Heather McPhee
Heather is a Registered Nurse with a Master of Health Management who for the past 30 years has worked for a variety of community care organisations. This includes public, private and not-for-profit organisations located in both regional and metropolitan settings. She has many years of senior management experience in these organisations, including CEO/DON, Project Manager and Quality Manager.
Heather has personally assisted over 200 health organisations in the development of quality management systems for Aged Care Accreditation, EQuIP Accreditation and ISO 9000 Certification. Her assessment roles and qualifications include:
- Internal Auditor
- External Aged Care Quality Assessor
- ISO 9000 External Lead Auditor
- Workplace Assessor and Trainer.
Heather has conducted a number of projects for AHA involving quality improvement in the health care sector. For example, Heather was a lead assessor in conducting assessments of
Victorian, Tasmanian and
ACT HACC agencies against the
HACC National Standards. In another recent project, Heather was involved in the development of
educational material for HACC service providers. This was in relation to standards which were consistently not well met by a large number of agencies in the first three-year appraisal of HACC services.
