Paul Larcombe

Paul Larcombe has strong experience in disability services and a detailed understanding of current legislation in relation to the disability discrimination act, and disability quality assurance standards.  Paul is closely involved in community and disability projects, and has consulted extensively with industry stakeholders. 

Paul regularily conducts QA audits of disability sector organisations in Queensland and is Chair of the Disability Council of Queensland, working closely with government and community to bring about greater awareness of the issues facing Queenslanders with a disability.  Paul has a Guide Dog named ‘Fletcher’.

Recent projects and roles include:
  • National Coordinator of the Disability Discrimination Act Standards
  • Consumer Technical Specialist and Quality Assurance Auditor for disability employment assistance services.
  • Board member of Guide Dogs Queensland
  • National Association of Technical Experts and disability employment service MACH 1.
Paul’s attributes include:
  • Detailed knowledge of disability legislation
  • Practical experience, understanding and empathy with, the experience of people with disabilities, as a consumer of a disability services
  • Ability to communicate and relate to members of the community with different cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds
  • Knowledge of the disability employment service industry’s employment practices
  • Competent in engaging and communicating with people with a disability in an audit environment
  • Expertise in accessible formats for people with print disabilities
  • Providing training and education to disability services.
