Paul Larcombe

Paul Larcombe has strong experience in disability services and a detailed understanding of current legislation in relation to the disability discrimination act, and disability quality assurance standards. Paul is closely involved in community and disability projects, and has consulted extensively with industry stakeholders.

Paul’s current projects include:
  • National Coordinator of the Disability Discrimination Act Standards
  • Consumer Technical Specialist and Quality Assurance Auditor for disability employment assistance services.
Paul is on the Board of:
  • Guide Dogs Queensland
  • National Association of Technical Experts and disability employment service MACH 1.
Paul is also a member of the building access policy committee, and the current chair for the Disability Action Week State Planning Committee for Queensland.

Some of Paul’s key attributes include:
  • Excellent working knowledge of disability legislation
  • Practical experience, understanding and empathy with, the experience of people with disabilities, as a consumer of a disability services
  • An ability to communicate and relate to members of the community with different cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds
  • Knowledge of the disability employment service industry’s employment practices
  • Competent in engaging and communicating with people with a disability in an auditing environment
  • Expertise in accessible formats for people with print disabilities
  • Providing training and education to disability services.
Paul and his guide dog, Pascoe are based in Brisbane.
