Program Evaluation of the Haemophilia Foundation of Australia

AHA recently completed a program evaluation of the Haemophilia Foundation of Australia (HFA) on behalf of the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA). HFA is the peak body representing people with inherited bleeding disorders and their families.

The evaluation considered and made recommendations in relation to:
  • the outputs from the HFA including reports, newsletters, websites, resources, conference presentations and published articles
  • improving the HFA’s financial and performance reports/statements to the Department
  • HFA’s continued relevance to the Department of Health and Ageing’s objectives and the appropriateness of continued funding by the Department
  • the consequences of not continuing funding to the HFA for both the government and the Australian public; and
  • administrative arrangements between the Department and HFA.
