Service Provider Operational Efficiency and Effectiveness Reviews

We have also conducted site visits and reviews of disability service organisations around Australia including Vision Australia, Yooralla and Scope.

Vision Australia (previously Association for the Blind, Victoria)
This study involved a detailed review of all services delivered by the Association, including supported employment services, accommodation and support services. We visited all the major service locations of the Association, and interviewed all appropriate personnel and a range of clients. A five-year analysis of performance results and service delivery trends was performed, and a detailed performance improvement analysis was prepared for the Association.

Yooralla Society of Victoria
Yooralla is a key provider of services to Victorians with disabilities, including employment services, health services, therapy and accommodation. The objective of this consultancy project was to critically review this community service operation’s efficiency and effectiveness. Our review evaluated and made recommendations on the administrative and financial management of the organisation in relation to the range of services provided, organisational goals and government funding requirements. The review also identified the amount of income from all funding sources, including government funding, and reported on the organisation’s financial position. The critical areas of concern uncovered during the study were addressed with recommendations for alternative courses of action.

Scope (previously Spastics Society of Victoria)
Australian Healthcare Associates provided consulting assistance to develop systems to accurately capture ongoing service data, including supported employment services at the Spastics Society. We also advised the Society regarding the costing of services relative to the new disability services funding mechanisms being introduced by Department of Human Services.
