Consultation

Most of our projects involve consultation with stakeholders. Our core skills include conducting, evaluating and reporting the results of consultations, providing both qualitative and quantitative analysis.  Stakeholders we have consulted include:
  • consumers of health or community services
  • people with disabilities including people with an intellectually disability or communication difficulties
  • people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • family members and/or carers
  • advocacy services
  • industry, professional and consumer peak bodies
  • service providers
  • governments
AHA has successfully used a range of methods to engage stakeholders and achieve effective consultation. Methods have included combinations of:
  • face to face individual meetings
  • focus groups including with use of interpreters
  • seminars
  • telephone consultation and support
  • telephone surveys and interview
  • written surveys and communication
  • internet based electronic surveys
  • public forums
  • facilitated workshops
