The Victorian Departments of Health and Human Services commissioned AHA to undertake an evaluation of the psychosocial response to the 2009 Victorian bushfires.
The evaluation aimed to document the systems, coordination processes and programs provided as part of the bushfire psychosocial response and made recommendations for future planning.
As part of this evaluation, AHA developed a training evaluation survey to critique the training that was provided to counsellors and mental health workers to assist them in meeting psychosocial recovery and treatment needs.
