Commonwealth Department of Health
The National Suicide Prevention Program (NSPP) provides around $25 million a year in funding to more than 40 local and national projects directly aimed at reducing suicide in Australia.
AHA was engaged to conduct an evaluation of NSPP activities to assess their appropriateness, effectiveness and efficiency. This included developing an evaluation framework and a minimum data set (MDS) to support the evaluation.
Following the successful completion of the NSPP program evaluation, the Department engaged AHA to manage the collection, analysis and reporting of NSPP MDS data for a further year, which has now been extended until 2017. Our role includes providing guidance and support for projects to meet their MDS reporting obligations.
By working closely with stakeholders, we increased the quality of data on NSPP-funded activities and transform that data into clear, concise reports with actionable insights.
