Australian Government Department of Health
AHA undertook, on behalf of The Department of Health, an evaluation of the HACC NSSI and the first three year appraisal process.
The project utilised assessment surveys and consultation to identify major issues facing service providers in undertaking the assessment process, and State/Territory Governments in implementing the process, throughout the three year program. Information sources included State/Territory officials and focus groups conducted with HACC service providers.
AHA's evaluation identified the level of compliance with the HACC Standards by service providers, the appropriateness of the NSSI as a tool to measure compliance with the HACC Standards, and canvassed options for the way forward in ensuring quality in service delivery.
This project demonstrates AHA's unique insight to the HACC service system nationally.
