This research project was conducted on behalf of the peak body Aged and Community Services Australia. The study involved surveying residential aged care staff from 12 facilities, and conducting detailed interviews with key staff members about the administrative burden associated with providing residential aged care. Administrative activities included assessing residents and completing paperwork, for RCS funding. Work activity data was obtained, validated and analysed for all categories of staff member for a range of care and administrative activities.
